Linda Bove (born November 30, 1945), is a deaf American actress who has played the part of Linda the Librarian on the children's television program Sesame Street since 1976. (Her last name rhymes with "glove" and is pronounced buv.)
On Sesame Street, Bove has introduced thousands of children to sign language and issues surrounding the deaf community. Her role as Linda on Sesame Street is currently the longest recurring role in television history for a person with a disability.
Bove appeared in an episode of Happy Days as Allison, a girlfriend of The Fonz. In this role she also portrayed a deaf woman. She also performed on the soap opera Search for Tomorrow and the feature film Children of a Lesser God.
