John Vincent Hurt CBE (born January 22, 1940) is an Academy Award nominated English actor.

Early life

Hurt was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire to Phyllis, an amateur actress, and Arnould Herbert Hurt, a clergyman. Hurt studied art at the St. Martin's School for Art, but turned to the stage in 1962. He performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and is a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He was also for many years an alcoholic, yet has since got rid of his addiction.

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Britney Spears' recently resolved custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline wasn't just messy, it was expensive. Court documents show legal bills submitted on behalf of two law firms who represented Spears total more than $466,000. That's on top of the $250,000 the 26-year-old pop singer has agreed to pay Federline's attorneys.
