Anthony Howard "Tony" Goldwyn (born May 20, 1960) is an American actor and director. He may be best remembered as the villain Carl Bruner from the feature film Ghost, who had his best friend Sam Wheat (played by Patrick Swayze) killed.

He was also well-known for his turn on the comedy series, Designing Women in which he played a young interior designer named Kendall Dobbs who was HIV positive, and asked the women of Sugarbakers to design his funeral.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Tony Goldwyn is the grandson of movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn and film actress Frances Howard. Tony attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He is married to production designer Jane Musky and the couple has two daughters.
