Strawberry Switchblade was a Scottish indie pop-rock female quartet sporting gothic sensibilities.
Formed in Glasgow in 1981, they were signed to WEA Records by Bill Drummond. By 1982 the band had been reduced to the duo of Jill Bryson and Rose McDowall, and it was this line-up which had a minor hit in the mid-1980s with their song "Since Yesterday", noted for its sampling of the earlier hit "Beach Baby" by First Class. The girls' striking black-and-white wardrobe attracted some coverage at the time.
