Corey Harris (Born 1969 in Denver, Colorado) is a Bates College educated anthropologist and blues musician. Currently residing in Virginia, Harris is constantly on tour and is proud to carry the tradition of classic African-influenced blues music into the 21st century. Harris was featured on the acclaimed 2003 PBS television mini-series "The Blues" in an episode directed by Martin Scorcese. While not on tour, Harris works as a carpenter and enjoys spending time with his wife, visiting local music venues, and interacting with local musicians. Corey Harris has also hosted several radio shows at various stations in the Central Virginia area.
