Dana Glover (born October 14, 1974 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina) is an American pop singer and songwriter most notable for her performing of film songs.
Dana moved from Rocky Mount to Asheville, North Carolina at age 8. With 16 she went to Manhattan for a model career. At age 18 she decided to become a musician. First in Nashville where she became a piano player and than in Los Angeles. In 2001 she performed the song "Plan on forever" in a duet with Mervyn Warren for the movie The Wedding Planner and in the same year she received the opportunity to perform her most notable song "It Is You (I Have Loved)", the love theme from the film Shrek. In 2002 she signed a contract with Dreamworks. Here she met Robbie Robertson, former member of The Band who brought her in contact with Matthew Wilder. Wilder produced her debut album "Testimony" which reached Number 41 on the Billboard Heatseaker charts. In 2004 the song "Thinking over" was used for the Garry Marshall film Raising Helen.
