Django is a Romany term meaning "I awake". It was applied to "Jean Baptiste Reinhardt" both based on his musical abilities and because it fit with his first name.

Django can refer to:

• The guitar player Django Reinhardt
• The Spanish singer Dyango
• The Reggae/Dancehall artist "King Django"
• Django (film), a 1966 Italian film and first in a series of spaghetti westerns, starring Franco Nero in the title role
• Django or Jango, a character in the anime and manga One Piece; see One Piece minor characters
• Django, the main character in the Boktai series of video games
• Jango Fett, a bounty hunter in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
• Django web framework for the Python programming language
• The record album Django by the Modern Jazz Quartet or the song "Django" from that album written by John Lewis
• The reggae album Return of Django by the Upsetters (released in 1969).
• The Filipino pool player, Francisco Bustamante nicknamed Django
• A west coast jam band now called Animal Liberation Orchestra or ALO.
